LOWER MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. -

State Police are trying to find out who is responsible for leaving 11 dead dogs with their fur removed in the area of Lower Macungie Park.

A witness contacted police with a report of suspected animal abuse in the area of Quarry Road around 4 p.m. Friday, police said. The puppies were found with their fur removed on the side of the road, some partially inside a plastic bag, according to police.

Police believe a single person may have left the dogs at the park.

Police did not specify the dogs' ages, saying they were "juvenile."
